What the potato keeps

Not much. The potato is lazy about this too, on purpose.

• What you type and say is logged, with your kind of device and roughly where you are, so we can make the potato better. Logs are kept for 3 days, then they're gone.
• Your taps are counted under a code that changes every day, so there's a daily limit. Those counts are deleted after 2 days. The site only keeps totals, like how many taps happened today.
• What you type goes to Anthropic, the company whose AI writes the potato's replies. Anthropic's privacy policy.
• What you say goes to Cloudflare's speech model to become text. The recording itself is never kept. Read it aloud sends the reply to Cloudflare's voice model. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• The bot check is Cloudflare Turnstile. It runs quietly in your browser to make sure you're a person. Turnstile's privacy addendum.
• Visits are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies.
• No accounts. Your chats live on your phone and vanish when you close the page. The one cookie only says you passed the bot check, and it expires in 12 hours.
• If you signed up for news, your email is only used to say when new modes are out.
